Re: Greenbriar Picture Shows: STOP, LOOK, AND LAUGH (1960)
That was a speculative suggestion that perhaps the visual design is turning away people. But when you label it "whining and nitpicking" instead of explaining why you chose this particular design or looking into the possibility of improving it, you're giving a good example of why people are...

Re: Greenbriar Picture Shows: STOP, LOOK, AND LAUGH (1960)
Has the number of new postings dropped off the cliff since the new look of the site was implemented? Might be a link there. I find it a weird thing visually, quite off-putting. The design of the banner kind of defies logic: half the tabs are listed in a spot three inches diametrically opposite the p...

Re: TIME FLIES (1926) Lupino Lane
Erwin Dumbrille had a beautiful print of this film. Back in 1979 I was at Erwin's home when he ran it with Jack, Jules and Sam White in attendance, along with Mabel Langdon and Raymond Rohauer. Jack in particular was thrilled to see it again. Did Rohauer claim copyright and run out the door with it...

Re: FISH (1916) Bert Williams
Is your copy more complete? The Youtube version leaves out the key scene: i.e., what happens to the fish after Bert shows it to the white guy for the second time and his own family catches up to him at the same moment. Williams sure liked to take his time in his routines. Harry Langdon must have cro...

Re: THE SCRUB LADY (1917) Marie Dressler
According to the poster, it co-stars Chaplin and Normand. Uh-huh. Although never exactly the loveliest of ladies, Dressler looks far too much like a man in drag in this exerpt. In fact, the chase-inside-the-factory scene shows her looking startlingly like John Cleese in several shots. I liked the sc...

Re: Three of a Kind
Yes, that's Billy Franey, thanks for pointing it out. He must have been wearing a rug or a hat in all the other films in which I've seen him, as I don't recall him being that bald before.
Hope Steve Massa stops in to take a look.
