OK. Thanks for looking.

Next question: Is there a paper archive for Vitagraph which may have info on this production?

Re: The Decorator (1920) - was Re: C C Burr and east coast production - 1923 edition

Wonderful! I would love to see it some day. Do you recall how prominently the ladies feature within the short? I just looked at THE DECORATOR again and they don't appear prominently at all, or at all, period. In fact, apart from leading lady Catherine Myers, there does not appear to be any other wo...

Re: The Decorator (1920) - was Re: C C Burr and east coast production - 1923 edition

Hopefully I can successfully resurrect this old thread. Thanks to the angels at The Lantern, I have just positively identified the Jimmy Aubrey/Oliver Hardy short as THE DECORATOR (1920.) Which brings us to the obvious next questions: 1) does it survive? 2) Does anyone have any stills with young la...

The Decorator (1920) - was Re: C C Burr and east coast production - 1923 edition

Might anyone know of an Aubrey/Hardy short that might meet these two criteria: 1) was in production mid-June 1920 2) provided an excuse for a lot of female extras? His Jonah Day , perhaps? A bit more digging reveals that the Jimmy Aubrey Comedy titled THE BACKYARD (released November 1920) was worki...

Re: more GOLD DIGGERS on B'way?

For those of you who are members of the Vitaphone FB group, there's a current thread raising the question of when WB may have destroyed/lost their copies of CONVENTION CITY and GOLD DIGGERS OF BROADWAY. A quick look at Lantern notes that WB recycled GD footage in January 1942 for the short CALLING ...

Re: Tod Brownings Dracula - new book.

Would anyone happen to have an idea where I might be able to read George Geltzer's essay on Browning, which was published in Films in Review, Oct 1953? I've searched but cannot find. It appears to be part of the Proquest periodicals package. You may wish to contact the university libraries near you...

Re: Who or what was an I B C studios?

Indeed, it may have been a radio station, in fact, it may have been NBC, especially if you got the blurb off lantern, whose search engine has a bad tendency to sometimes read the "N's" as "I"'s, especially if the scan of the page has the initials on the bend of the spine. There ...

Re: Who or what was an I B C studios?

Are you positive? Because it sounds like Morgan was still on the East Coast doing Radio and Warners shot her audition there. Vallee was still in New York until just before shooting started, and obviously something happened that cut Morgan's part from apparently the engenue to basically a guest spot...
