Unlike most of the personality comedians, Griffith always works best when he is paired with a strong female co-star, as is the case with Paths to Paradise and The NIght Club. IMO these are his two best, so seek these out any you may be a Ray Griffith fan for life.

Roach Short Back on TCM

After a nearly year-long hiatus, TCM will once again show a Hal Roach short, Maid in Hollywood with Todd and Kelly. Saturday morning at 7:40 EDT. Let's hope this is the beginning of a trend.

According to Claudia Sassen's database of foreign Larry Semon titles, Larry Semon and the Yellow Fear is actually The Fly Cop (3-19-20). Her work is an indispensable tool when IDing those pesky Italian TV titles.

Yep, they lifted the Griffithiana article without so much as a heads up. But at least they credited it to me unlike other web sites (remember the late Silents Majority?). Hey, if it helps in some small way to sell Max discs, more power to them.
