This is rare (and funny) enough that I can even ignore the impossible-to-ignore German subtitles: https://youtu.be/HBTGPypXcNw

Dennis Atkinson RIP
I didn’t know Dennis personally, but like many on this board I purchased films from him. He was instrumental in finding many rare and lost prints. He was one of the founding members of the Saginaw CineSation. I hope others who knew him will share their memories.

Re: Mafia Webinar: Collecting Classic Comedy and Film (part 1?): Glenn Mitchell, Richard M Roberts and Hooman Mehren
I just finishing listening and I think anyone who grew up watching classic comedy on TV, who perused Blackhawk catalogues, or who took the fatal bite of the apple and became a collector; will enjoy this. Don’t let the epic length deter you. I consumed it in half-hour chunks and the trio’s topics of ...

The Most Meta Moment Ever in a B-Western
Upload courtesy of Geno's House of Rare Films, CALL OF THE ROCKIES (1944) is a well-made Republic oater notable for being Sunset Carson's first leading role (even if he is billed under Smiley Burnette). What makes this western special is the ending (at 54:19), which lifts this B-western into the Met...

Over an Hour of Known and Unknown Silent Comedy Clips
From the John Allen Archives. This is their comedy demo reel. Sadly, the choppy nature of this was the result of Allen cutting the original negatives into bits and pieces. But there is plenty to explore here and doubtless some fragments of lost comedies. https://www.allenarchive.com/vid.php?uri=3737...

Re: "Just Neighbors" - a Toots & Casper cut-down
I don’t know the title but I bet it was released after Laurel & Hardy’s Big Business (4/20/1929).
