Re: Trailer for THE CAT'S PAW (1934)

This trailer didn't do Lloyd any favors. In every shot, he is completely inert except for his prissy half-smile. The trailer's not-so-subtle message is, "yes, its Harold Lloyd, but LOOK AT THE GREAT SUPPORTING CAST!!!"

Trailer for THE CAT'S PAW (1934)

From the Chelsea Rialto Studios, which always comes up with rare stuff, here's the original release trailer for Harold Lloyd's The Cat's Paw. I don't know whether it was originally released in an amber tint, or if this is just an artifact of the transfer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YhLQGzenkcQ

Re: Danish Remake of Edison's THE KISS (1896)

Crosses the fine line between kissing and cannibalism.

CAR 54, WHERE ARE YOU? with Jan Murray (Jan. 14, 1962)

https://youtu.be/xr5nZi4l4xE It's always fun to revisit a program that you saw on first run as a child. Jan Murray pulls out the stops.

HEATHER AND YON (1944) Andy Clyde

With a beefy supporting appearance from Snub Pollard who attempts to decapitate Andy. https://youtu.be/4BA_S_qTI24

Sennett's TEE FOR TWO - Scenes Out of Order

This 1932 Sennettcolor two-reeler was considered lost, except for these scenes which are out of order and duplicated: https://youtu.be/S1nZ2rO1zCg

Marty Feldman Comedy Machine with Groucho as Guest

This is rare (and funny) enough that I can even ignore the impossible-to-ignore German subtitles: https://youtu.be/HBTGPypXcNw

Dennis Atkinson RIP

I didn’t know Dennis personally, but like many on this board I purchased films from him. He was instrumental in finding many rare and lost prints. He was one of the founding members of the Saginaw CineSation. I hope others who knew him will share their memories.
