Re: '08 Damfinos Convention Recollections
Great snapshot, Doc. Makes me want to head over there for a little R&R! As to HOSPITALITY, I just brought the print and discussed where it was found. Not much at all. It was actually Patty Tobias, David Pearson and David MacLeod who really did their homework. The presentations were fantastic and...

I currently have several major commitments, not including the daily maintenance of this board, and do not see my schedule changing anytime in the near fut...

Re: The Brother of Fatty Arbuckle...
Of course I knew, J! You wouldn't have gotten the cookie if I didn't. Ha. I am amazed, however, by the number of people who actually treat Wikipedia as a reliable source. Folk like ourselves scrupulously avoid it, unknowing web users take every entry as gospel. A frightening turn of events from any ...

Re: Vaudeville resources?
Variety magazine is a great source of information too. They provide fairly accurate appearance schedules and detailed reviews of the various acts. Most major libraries have the complete microfilm series.

Wikipedia, indeed... That'll get you ten minutes in the corner, J, and no milk before nap time. You may, however, have a cookie. Maclyn and Roscoe shared a fairly common last name, had similar physiques, some small facial resemblance, both appeared on stage, starred in films, both essayed the role o...

Later married Wayne King. Barbara Kent: born 1906. Appeared in some major silents and early talkies like Lonesome and Feet...
