Re: CAMERA Comedy Clippings, June 30, 1923

I believe its Fanny Brice's brother.

I'm still throwing together a skeletal FOX silent short comedy filmography for all to ammend which I'll post soon, and looking today it seems Hugh Herbert made a Fox short MIND YOUR BUSINESS (7-21-1921). That would be interesting to see. Czechoslovakia anyone?

Trying to Recall a Sennett Title

I am trying to recall the title of a Sennett short. It is where a woman in a touring car is being chased by some miscreants in another car. Somehow the cars wind up on rooftops and the woman drives over a gap between the buildings. When the woman lands on the other side her car plunges through the r...

Re: Candid Photo Archive

Oops, I meant the other left. On my old time computer screen the last two are cut off. Is there anyone here who could be Jack Blystone?

I'll post a skeletal Fox short filmography at the end of the week on a separate thread, and invite all to ammend.

This looks like a Fox short. Is that Slim Summerville second from left?

Re: Silent Christie Paramount shorts

Thank you Steve for posting this as there were several I did not have and the ones I did have had scant info. Unfortunately the MOTION PICTURE NEWS did not list every short released by a major studio. Al Christie should be the next big McFarland book on Si-com. Now how about someone posting a comple...

Re: Flyers from Film Classic Exchange

I remember getting those thick envelopes in the mail from FCE. I was just like Bruce and spent a majority of my money with Blackhawk though I bought a couple of FCE's and Thunderbirds and one Essex. FCE had SAILORS BEWARE and Blackhawk didn't. The quality of the FCE prints I bought varied greatly. T...

Re: Alas! Poor Yorick

I am of the opinion that this film was made in 1909 (Wow, a hundred years ago!) and laid on the shelf until Roscoe started getting some recognition at Keystone.

Is This Charley Chase?

This is a frame grab from the 1924 Our Gang short SEEIN' THINGS. Farina is in a dream sequence and this dynamiteer is about to push the plunger that will send Farina flying through the air. It is only one shot lasting about four seconds. Could this be Charley? I haven't seen this in any Chase filmog...
