Re: Harold Ramis RIP
The initial few series of SCTV were shot in Toronto, at the Global Network's studio at 21 Barber Greene Road. I used to see the performers hanging out for dinners together, most often at Mr. Greenjeans. (Not at its current location (or even state of food), I think it was on Adelaide in the 1970s). I...

Re: "Too Much Johnson"
An episode of Mad About You makes a reference to the legend of Milton 'Just take enough out to Win' Berle: Paul finds out his Aunt dated Milton Berle and he hesitantly/sheepishly starts to ask her a question about him, she cuts him off and says 'It's true.'. It was the episode with Carl Reiner (whic...

Haunted Spooks production dates question
Richard's amazing new book lists production dates for Haunted Spooks as being Jan 05-17 and Feb 09, 1920. I thought the understanding was that the bomb incident where Harold lost his fingers occurred during production of this film and that that could be verified by the fact of seeing Harold with and...

Re: Lost Keaton
I think I noticed one blooper on the set: In the stills section there is a photo of Myra Keaton that is identified as coming from Palooka from Paducah. I think the still is actually from Myra's appearance in Way up Thar. It might actually be the same dress in the closing scenes from both films but I...

To listen, go to this page:
http://always-share-otr.ca/OTR%20Lists/ ... 20Ray.html
and then select the Dec 25, 1948 show (it's really the Nov 17, 1949 show mislabeled). The interview starts at about 6 minutes in.

Re: Billy Bevan on Matinee with Bob & Ray - Nov 17, 1949
Good news: I found the Nov 17, 1949 program.
Bad news: It features Billy B. Van not Billy Bevan.
Good news again: It's always fun to hear Bob and Ray anyways.

Billy Bevan on Matinee with Bob & Ray - Nov 17, 1949
All over the web available for download is a few hundred or so Matinee with Bob & Ray episodes from Boston in the late 1940's and early 1950's. Even the most casual listening reveals the air dates commonly listed for these shows are off. I hunted around on the web for a correct listing and found...

Re: Maxine Marx (1918 - 2009)
Found this website Sam Marx Genealogy a week or so ago and found it pretty interesting. It looks like the author has tracked down Sam Marx's genealogy. Unless the site is a big put on I think he has found the right Sam Marx because he has a birthdate of Oct 23, 1859 and that matches what Groucho wro...
