Re: A Great Keaton Impersonation for Christmas

I strongly second Richard's endorsement of this DVD. The Gary Moore Show with Gary doing his Buster Keaton skit was a big hit at our weekly Movie Night this past week. You can also really see where the show was a great training ground for Carol Burnett. She still praises it strongly to this day. Her...

William H. Cook

I'm trying to help out some of my buddies on a comic book forum. They are tracking down info on William H. Cook who was a figure in the development of the comic book industry in the 1930s and early 1940s. He seems to have worked as a publicist and writer for the film industry in the 1920s. The only ...

Great shot Bob!

Thanks for posting it.

Nice one Steve!

Loved the footage of Coney Island as it was 100 years ago!

Great looking tinted print too.

Check it out

Re: Errol Flynn does the "Mirror Routine"

More recently (1999) the bit with the mirror was done in a two-part sixth season episode of The X-Files where Mulder's mind changes bodies with another person. He only sees what he looks like to others when he looks in the mirror. The storyline has a number of comedic bits and one includes a variati...

Re: El Brendel gets a mention in a modern film review??

While I'm glad that a reviewer such as Mr. Corliss knows who El Brendel is I suspect that 99% of the people who read the review will be shaking their head and saying "What's an El Brendel?"

Re: short comedies on EYE

Here's one I'm having trouble identifying. Maybe one of youse guys can ID it.

It's an Eddie Lyons and Lee Moran Star Comedy done for Universal probably in 1920.
