Larry Semon - The Head Waiter

I'm aware that this film has recently been restored and shown in a few places - does anyone know if it is likely to get a DVD release anytime soon?

When Comedy Was King - one happy viewer

Well, I’ve just finished watching ‘When Comedy Was King’ and wow! what a fantastic print. To think that we can see – and in excellent quality too – footage that is nearly 100 years old; we’re fortunate it’s even survived, let alone undergone restoration. Let’s hope the guys at Sprocket Vault release...

When Comedy Was King - restored DVD

Help!! I'm trying to get a copy of the recently released 'When Comedy Was King' DVD but Amazon won't ship internationally (I'm based in the UK). Does anyone know why this restriction is in place and if it's likely to be lifted? Or is it a case of trying to get the DVD direct from Sprocketvault? This...

Re: Laurel & Hardy - Capitol Films

Hi Richard,

Yes, that's the one. I picked up their 8mm print of 'Angora Love' which has the original titles and was curious what other Laurel & Hardy films they may have distributed.

Silent Comedy Weekend - Kennington Bioscope - 22nd October

Hi, It was my pleasure to attend the Silent Comedy Weekend at the Kennington Bioscope on 22nd October; unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances I was only able to see the Laurel & Hardy part of the programme but can report that it was excellent. The presentation comprised two prints from th...

Re: Silent Laughter Weekend in London

I'll see you there - most interested in the Laurel & Hardy sequence, especially the Robert Youngson prints. It should be good.

Gordon Berkow Collection

I recently found out from a Laurel & Hardy magazine that it is possible that the Gordon Berkow collection could contain a number of 'The Boys' films besides 'The Battle Of The Century'. Apparently, there may even be a complete copy of 'The Second One Hundred Years' and other rarities. Does anyon...

The Band Master / Honorable Mr Buggs

Hi, I've seen a 2 minute clip of 'The Band Master' on vimeo.com and was wondering if anyone knows if the whole films is available anywhere? Also, I believe 'The Honorable Mr Buggs' was shown a few years ago at Slapsticon 2013 - unfortunately I missed this event and have been trying to find a copy ev...
