Del Lord Hal Roach Taxi Boys Locations

This post shows how former Keystone director Del Lord re-staged a car stunt from Super-Hooper-Dyne Lizzies (1925) in the 1932 Taxi Boys short for Hal Roach. Lots of great mid-city shots along Washington Blvd. https://silentlocations.wordpress.com/2015/01/18/mid-city-views-how-hal-roachs-taxi-boys-fi...

Re: BLAZING AWAY (1928) Lloyd Hamilton

Thanks for posting this - yet another football themed comedy that was filmed at the former Bovard Field at USC, along with Lloyd's The Freshman and Keaton's Three Ages and College. The Draw Back (1927) with Johnny Arthur also has many great views of the field. http://youtu.be/O1arjP9xyc4?list=PLZCm3...

How Chaplin Filmed The Adventurer

Here is a post showing how Charlie filmed The Adventurer along the once rustic California coast, and at the long lost Abbot Kinney Pier in Venice.

How Buster Keaton Filmed The General

This post shows how Keaton filmed The General, in many cases just steps from the hotel where he and his crew stayed when filming in Cottage Grove, Oregon.

New 100 year old Chaplin - Keystone locations

Chaplin and the other Keystone stars filmed many scenes 100 years ago beside the homes still standing north of Echo Park.
