Re: Nitrateville Comment Dept: Laurel and Hardy Year One
Doubtless one of those "fans" who don't really like watching this stuff, but just like to see "Vol. 1" next to "Vol. 2" next to Vol. 3" on their bookshelves. The kind of people who sent you complaints that the 1929 Chases should have been "Vol. 1", not Vo...

He may just have been wall-eyed. But Ed, I'm interested in what you thought of it? Even considering that Masquers' shorts had to cram in as many out-of-work comics as possible, to my eyes its prime pre-Code W&W.

IRENE DUNNE, WILL HAYS and SHEMP!
This has been around for awhile, but where else are you going to see Shemp Howard share the screen with Will Hays? Sadly, no slapping ensues. https://youtu.be/jtcnJmNDztM

Third Man Spoof (1986, BBC Channel 4)
And excellent and well-produced parody of The Third Man with Robbie Coltrane doing a creditable Orson Welles impression. From the British series, Saturday Live. https://youtu.be/PLosYtiZDdk

DARKENED ROOMS (1929) w/ Gale Henry
In her last sound feature, Gale Henry has a beefy role as Madame Silvara, a phony spiritualist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xarxQOSfUDY

Nice color footage. I guess by this time, Poodles was well past his bareback riding days.
