Neutralizing Vinegar prints

This process has neutralized my mild Vinegar prints. 1. Clean print with Film Renew 2. Put print on metal reel or core in larger metal can with a cube of Camphor for 4 to 6 weeks. NOTE: Plastic reels/cans might dissolve and cardboard boxes has acid that can be absorbed. 3. When neutralized, store in...

Pathe was the company that released many titles in 9.5 mm. FYI, sprocket is located in the frame line for larger picture and not on the side of the frame like 8 mm.

Re: Question regarding THE STAGE HAND

Early ads show both Metropolitan and General were Educational's West Coast shooting locations.

My impression is they owned both.

LAW was shot there for Goodyear.

Re: Question regarding THE STAGE HAND

THE STAGE HAND is one Langdon title I have trouble tolerating. Two of my favorites are KNIGHT DUTY 1933 and LOVE HONOR AND OBEY (THE LAW!) * 1936. The cat and canary gag is a highlight. (I believe LOVE was shot on the Educational lot for Goodyear.) * My 1935 Kodak ** printdown with opening titles fr...

Re: Errol Flynn does the "Mirror Routine"

Andy Clyde does the mirror routine in the rare 1937 Columbia short LODGE NIGHT.
It also has the similar ending to A NIGHT AT THE OPERA.

Re: Some Paramount Sound Comedies

SAILORS BEWARE is a hilarious 1933 precode Phil Ryan Paramount directed by Del Lord. Sailors Pallette & Catlett are chased by Dorothy Granger's gang for a winning lottery ticket. See my IMDb review for more details. NOTE: Filming was at the same lake as Men O'War. One of my favorite 2 reelers. A...

Re: RKO Two-Reelers

I did locate HALFWAY TO HOLLYWOOD 1938 with original titles, but there was a negative cut where the sword is thrown. I put the the titles on my complete Official Films print. So did it feature head-shots on the main title? I like how Columbia took the time in the 1930's to prepare these titles, eve...
