Tati - just released and going OOP

Just a quick heads-up (thanks to a couple friends for the alert!) that the Criterion DVD of TRAFIC will already be going OOP any time now. This is a seminal release, as it includes Sophie Tatischeff's remarkable feature length documentary on her father. Meanwhile, both the newly restored HULOT and, ...

Re: Kinowelt announces SPUK UM MITTERNACHT, Lloyd, Chaplin

Kinowelt announces SPUK UM MITTERNACHT, Lloyd, Chaplin

Re: The General on blu-ray November 10

Unfortunately, Axelmusic suggests this will be Region A encoded.

First Criterion's PLAYTIME, then this... time for region free BR players to catch on!

Licensing or ...?

Just what is going on on the German DVD market? Some strange similarities to the US "Silent Comedy Mafia" DVD here: http://www.amazon.de/Die-Stummfilm-Mafia-Stan-Laurel/dp/B0013EIK54/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1256064248&sr=1-1 And suddenly Weiss(orama)n shorts show up as wel...
