I'll agree that the Edgar Kennedy/Franklin Pangborn Next Door Neighbors is outstanding. Another Kennedy that I really love is Apple in His Eye (1941), with Charlie Hall as the obnoxious neighbor whom Edgar contually antagonizes while trying to make his own apple pies.
