Re: Candid Photo Archive

I simply love this photo.

Thanks for posting it.

Here's a suave photo of Keaton:

Re: The Misfit (1924)

Thanks for all of your help.

The only clipping I have is where Clyde is marching with the others, and Big Joe is giving him orders. Clyde really reminds me of Buster, in a shorter version.

Thanks, again!

Re: '08 Damfinos Convention Recollections

David,

The event was 100% perfect. I don't think there was ever a dull moment. Even Nico's endless questions made the convention even more interesting.

The Misfit (1924)

I found a cliplet of "The Misfit" (1924) on a silent film DVD set, starring Clyde Cook and Big Joe Roberts. The voice-over said that it was made at Keaton Studios. I read on Ron Pesch's site (http://www.actorscolony.com) that the film was released as "Under Orders" by Educational...

Re: '08 Damfinos Convention Recollections

I'd like to see the Arbuckle article. I think Paul and the rest of the gang would be okay with you posting it. While you were on one side of the store (with Tim?), Paul, Brittany, Patty, Aurelia and I were gathering posterboard and glitter pens so Brittany could make Buster's granddaughter a 'We Mis...

Re: Hey Paul G.

For my part, I had a great time hosting the auction -- the dapper and sublime David MacLeod took ill and I stepped into the auctioneer role -- and would not hesitate to do it again. Great fun, that. The banquet, screening 35mm prints at The Frauenthal (a restored 1920's movie palace) and the after ...

Re: '08 Damfinos Convention Recollections

Hey, Doc! Welcome to the group! Hey, Paul! Thanks for the suggestion. Last year's convention was the BEST covention I've ever attended--well, except the 2006 convention when I first met Melissa (starry eyed), but I'll discuss that later. :) I don't think I've ever laughed so hard in my life as I did...

Re: Why are Keaton, Lloyd and Chaplin the "Big Three?"

Post it, Dr. Joe! Please! I've only seen Grace's photo in the Chronicle. It made such a sweet ending to the article of the Convention. Sara ......Why are Laurel and Hardy so darned funny? .... Because they re-did everything ever done only this time with sound. Who wants to see my picture of David sl...

Tomato is Another Day

Has anybody ever heard of this? I found it on YouTube while searching for Harold Lloyd.

Are there anymore of these available?
