Re: Greenbriar Comedy Team Discussions
Richard M Roberts Absolutely Pasquale! (and it's Richard, BTW) Oops, pardon me, was typing too fast. It's been corrected. In the many past years of a life long love with silent and early sound comedy, one thing I have always made a strong effort was make up my own mind about comedies and comedians ...

Re: Greenbriar Comedy Team Discussions
Richard M Roberts Hmmm, looks like Gary wants to be a textbook example of what the whole discussion was talking about. No one was saying Scott MacGillivray brainwashed everyone into loving the formerly maligned films, they were saying Scotts book was the first major indictor that the thinking about...

Oh the memories, when the Silent Movie Theater regularly played silent comedies every week. I also remember these flyers and was a regular at the silent comedy nights. That's where I first saw THE GOAT and SAWDUST BABY on one of the comedy nights. No more these days. Thanks for posting the old flyer...

I highly recommend this book. It makes for great bathroom reading since one entry lasts about as long as... Well, never mind.

I have a VHS copy of ARE WAITRESSES SAFE? from many years ago, recently copied on a DVD-R disc. As already mentioned, what a cast in this one.

Re: WHEN CLUBS ARE TRUMPS (1917) Harold Lloyd
The Lonesome Luke comedies are so rare it was a pleasure being able to watch this one--a two-reeler too. Really enjoy the park scenes, especially the climax with the row boats. Lots of action, timed just right for laughs. Thanks for posting this to see.
