Nitrateville Correction Dept: MY SON JOHN
Hey, haven't really bashed Nitratevile of late, too damn busy doing more important things and it's devolved into such a nest of nerd nattering that it's not really worth my time reading all that hard, but I saw that Ed Larusso continues to show his lack of actual film knowledge today in another unin...

Steve Massa wrote:Oh, I forgot to mention that a young John Wayne may be in the football sequence in THE DRAW BACK. Take a look in at 14:50 and 24:38 and check if this is only wishful thinking on my part.

Hey Steve,
Great stuff and great work, but can you suggest to them that they transfer these thing a little faster? THE DRAW-BACK would have been a lot funnier at 24 fps.

It also looks like it might be Ben Hall from one of the "Harold Highbrow" shorts he did for Universal in the late 1920s. Yeah, could be. I thought about both Ben Hall and Churchill Ross from The Collegians series, but the guy in the picture looks older, the hairline is higher and the head...

[quote="Gary Johnson"]Over at Greenbriar John E. has been overly preoccupied with Rooney's past autobiography and the 'near pornographic' descriptions of his many sexual encounters. [quote] I don't believe one mention in a paragraph constitutes "overly preoccupied". I did always ...

Hello Roger and Welcome to the Mafia! It's definitely not Anita Garvin, but she looks familiar, and I think the guy in the glasses may be Jimmy Aubrey.
Where did the still come from? Is this the complete picture or has it been cropped?

Nitrateville Answer Dept: Mickey Mcguire Chaplin Impersonati

Re: THE HUNGRY ACTORS (1915)
Ah-ha! INTO THE LIGHT (aka THE HUNGRY ACTORS) was production D-2 on the Rolin Schedule, and was sold to Universal and released 6/10/1915. FROM ITALY'S SHORES was production D-1, and Universal put that out on 5/19/1915. Violet MacMillan is also listed as being in the cast of INTO THE LIGHT. I guess S...
