Anyone know anything about "International News" - a silent newsreel series a la Pathe news. Was it the product of a particular studio (Universal, perhaps?) and - the inevitable question - is there any one-stop survival list/holding archive list available?

The various "International" newsreels were connected to the Hearst organization. The Hearst wire service that competed with the Associated Press and United Press was the International News Service, and a lot of his organizations - silent newsreel, film studio, newspaper syndicate - seemed to use the name "International." With the coming of sound, the Hearst newsreel moved to MGM release as first Hearst-Metrotone News and then News of the Day.
