number 1: Taylor Holmes portrait.
number 2: gal on right holding other womans hands is Blanche Sweet, I think this is THE SOWERS (1916).
number 8: Stuart Holmes on left, Richard Talmadge in middle, this is ON TIME (1924).
number 9: Guy on left is Thurston Hall.
number 14: L to R: Herman Hack, unknown, Blackie Whiteford, Paul Panzer (seated), Harry Cording, this is Dwain Esper's NARCOTIC (1933).

Richard, now that you have identified Thurston Hall I can definitely see his likeness in that still.
We tend to forget that those great character actors of the sound era were young once.

#6 Ralph Graves and Gloria Swanson in Prodigal Daughters 1923- their only gig together.
I can't find any other images of Swanson with her hair up in this movie or in that winged dress, but of course she probably had 30 costume changes.
