FORT LEE SILENT FILM STUDIOS FOOTAGE (1935)

Postby Richard M Roberts » Thu Feb 04, 2016 12:37 am

Amazing footage, sort of a GHOSTS OF HOLLYWOOD East, shot in 1935, looks like someone's home movie about the then-abandoned and crumbling Silent Movie Studios in Fort Lee, New Jersey.

In three parts:

Fascinating. Is this the film that Theodore Huff shot in 1935, GHOST TOWN: THE STORY OF FORT LEE? I believe some of the footage was used in BEFORE HOLLYWOOD, THERE WAS FORT LEE.

Didn't care for that final shot of reels of films laying atop a dung heap.

Oh, I don't know, seems to me like that's exactly where plenty of films belong.
