Ken Murray films

Does anyone know anything about the way Ken Murray put his Hollywood compilations together? I am thinking specifically about "Hollywood My Hometown", "Hollywood Without Make Up", & "Ken Murray Shooting Stars". I ask because today I was viewing "Hollywood My Hometown" and I see scenes in there, in B&W, which appear on the El Brendel home movies in color. I was wondering if maybe he borrowed footage from people to compile these movies. Would LOVE to hear anything from anyone who might know.

Oh yeah absolutely Ken Murray supplemented his own "home movies" from all sorts of sources, including Ralph Staub's SCREEN SNAPSHOTS. Murray may have took credit for it, but he didn't shoot a very good deal of the footage used in those compilations.
