Von Stroheim does the saber dance LA DANSE DE MORT 1946

One of the rarest and most sought-after Erich von Stroheim films made during his French exile, LA DANSE DE MORT was restored a few years ago and quietly flew under the radar. Von adapted Strindberg's play and wrote the screenplay (as typical for Erich, other scribes subsequently added their own two cents to his work). It's only available for rent on Vimeo but there's a link to the trailer below. Meanwhile it's always a treat when Von lets loose and goes to town:
