Q5 (late 60's) Spike Milligan two episodes

Here's two episodes of the series said to have truly influenced Monty Python:

Apparently Milligan in his typical bi-polar way would veer between saying he was proud to have been the catalyst in sending the Pythons off in the absurdist direction, to "those bastards stole my idea!"

Lets see how Johnson classifies MIlligan, perhaps " I never perceived him as a comedian, more as a poetic manic-depressive musical comedy plumber".

Spike is very amusing -- especially when he performs "Melody in 4-F".

The weatherman sketch is hilarious. The way he mumbles his early line then continues comes across so simple yet a work of comic genius. It's a pleasure to finally see a couple Milligan's Q5 shows.
