Robert Osborne RIP

No one lives forever -- except, perhaps, Shirley MacLaine. This is where we ring down the final curtain for Filmdom's finest.

Okay, enough talk about that Schickel clown, now we must sadly memorialize a class act who spent a few years toiling as a critic, then redeemed himself as the genial face of the cable channel we all know and love(anybody remember that he was introducing old movies on The Movie Channel before TCM?). He was a true gentleman, and an entertaining host to introduce all those old movie goodies for us to see. He has already been very missed on that channel, so far nothing replacing him has come close.

He had been battling illness for a long time, and had courageously and amazingly kept going with the same genial qualities he had always had, once again, truly a class act. Rest in peace Robert, you seemed to be able to live that way as well.
