The Lonesome Luke comedies are so rare it was a pleasure being able to watch this one--a two-reeler too. Really enjoy the park scenes, especially the climax with the row boats. Lots of action, timed just right for laughs. Thanks for posting this to see.

Yes, thank you for posting all this great stuff over the past few weeks; I'm looking forward to watching all of it over the holidays.

Is that Charlie Chase at 8:20?

The LOC has a print of this also but the LOC print has much more gas on it.

I opine that this film consists of two rejected one reelers melded together to fill out the 2-reel schedule.

I kind of agree, I think he moves like Chase, but was Charley really that much taller than Lloyd? And, was he anywhere near the Roach lot in 1917?

No.

Nice guess, Tommie, and it does resemble Chase's "build."

But I don't think it's him; too tall. It's probably Roach player David Slim Voorhees.

I finally watched the whole thing, liked it just fine. I've never had a problem with the pre-glasses Harold. Spotted Margaret Joslin just after the 10-minute mark. And isn't the big cop William Blaisdell? Neither are in any cast listings for the film that I've seen.
