I am of the opinion that the Jefferson in STARVATION BLUES is Gordon.

Could be. It was the one appearance I was less convinced about.
However, this picture of Gordon doesn't resemble the 'Starvation Blues' character much. http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cg ... d=29334959
Granted, the pic's from 1915, but he looks to have a stockier rounder face to me.

That's why I said opinion as the Find a Grave pics were the only images I had seen of Gordon. The man in SB is not Ted. Ted is gangly and very wooden in his roles (I know he's a butler in most appearances). However the chap in SB I would bet the farm is a sibling of Stan and this man in SB is very engaging in his appearance and could have made a good living at Hal Roach studios as stock.

BTW, I believe I spotted Ted Jefferson in Lloyd Hamilton's MOONSHINE (1921) when I looked at it again today, he's the bearded moonshiner the Doctor asks for directions to Hamilton's Mothers bedroom from during the battle scene at the beginning.

Well done Richard.
Definite.
Obvious really.
Can't believe I hadn't spotted that before!

How about this guy in the straw hat to the left of Baldy Belmont? This is from Monty Banks DERBY DAY (1922). Ted appeared in Banks' SQUIRREL FOOD of the same year.

Thanks Tommie.
Could be.
Got the right facial features!

How do you know he's in SQUIRREL FOOD?

Some folks see Bigfoot or Elvis, I see Ted Jefferson. Is he the gaunt fellow in the jury box in Bert Lahr's NO MORE WEST?

No, it doesn't really look like him, and this short was released three months after his death, and was shot in New York. Teddy worked and lived in Los Angeles for years before and up to his death.
