PAGING MONEY (1924) Century Comedy

Postby Richard M Roberts » Mon May 16, 2016 10:13 am

Here's a chunk of a Universal Century Comedy, yet another rehash of the KILL OR CURE/PAGING LOVE encyclopedia set-up, released July 30, 1924, directed by Edward Luddy (Ludwig) and featuring Henry Murdock, Bill Blaisdell, and a very young Spec O' Donnell:

Spec looked the exact same at age 8 as he did at 18 and 28. Just shorter. Much shorter.

Anybody got a shot of him at 58?

Yeah, look at any number of first season episodes of THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW, he's a regular as one of Mayberry's residents, still looks the same, with a little less hair.

Really? My god. I never watched Griffith -- I was too young, and I think it was hard to get in Toronto (I don't recall any of the Buffalo affiliates carrying it or Mayberry RFD), and I wasn't interested when it came out on video.

He was a great supporting comedian. One of the best.
