Chaplin's Tillie's Punctured Romance (1914) and the Lois Weber historical epic The Dumb Girl of Portici (1916), starring Anna Pavlova in her only film role, both share scenes filmed at an early Hollywood landmark - the Castle Sans Souci mansion. The owner's prior castle mansion was later purchased by Sessue Hayakawa.
