British Variety and Movie Comic Fred Evan's uses his "Pimple" character to take the mickey out of the venerable stage melodrama THE WHIP in PIMPLE IN THE WHIP, released by Piccadilly Film Productions February, 1917, directed by and featuring Fred Evans and his Brother Joe Evans along with Phyllis Desmond and Nina Maxwell. :
