Silent film or Vaudeville Comedians? Please ID this photo.

I have this cabinet card that dates probably from the 1890s to 1910s.

Is this of two friends goofing in front of the camera or are the early film or vaudeville comedians that I dont know about?

The mount is from a photographer in Battle Creek, MI.

Not film, possibly vaudeville, or local show business in Battle Creek, Michigan. Perhaps they entertained the patients at the Dr. Harvey Kellogg spa (or WERE patients at the Harvey Kellogg spa). I'm sure there would be an historical society in Battle Creek that could answer the question, in fact, there is:

Could this be a double exposure of the same man?
