Richard Dix rooftop stunt matches Laurel & Hardy's "Liberty"

Richard Dix slips from a prison hospital roof in “Day of Reckoning” (1933), filmed at 939 S. Broadway, the same spot Laurel & Hardy used when scrambling around a construction site in “Liberty” (1929). What’s more, Our Gang filmed there first for “The Old Wallop” (1927), and Our Gang star Spanky McFarland plays Dix’s son. Other buildings and films appear in this post. Read more
