Recently restored and preserved by the Niles Essanay Film Museum, here's an early Keystone reel featuring a split-reel comedy and one of their "educational" subjects. Released by Mutual December 16, 1912, MABEL'S ADVENTURES was directed by Mack Sennett, and features Mabel Normand, Ford Sterling, Fred Mace. USEFUL SHEEP is also directed by Mack Sennett, and apparently one of the ranchers filmed is named W. H. Roche:
