The San Francisco Silent Film Festival https://silentfilm.org/ hosts my Silent Footsteps Zoom webinar tomorrow on June 6 at 12:00 noon PST.

The webinar is free (register HERE) https://zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_vCPEbD7VStKvLCf9_YUZhQ

and will be uploaded later to the festival’s online screening room https://silentfilm.org/screening-room/

An all-new program, my talk covers in part the hidden interplay between movies filmed in Hollywood and in San Francisco a century ago. Buster Keaton filmed scenes adjacent to several San Francisco landmarks, but in each case before they were actually built!

The talk also reveals for the first time many surprising vestiges from D. W. Griffith’s epic masterpiece Intolerance (1916) - a small example above.

I am especially pleased with how this turned out, and hope you will consider attending or viewing later.

Best wishes, John
