What a fabulous celebration of Monty Banks’ silent comedies - I haven’t gotten to the two features yet, but so far I watched all of the shorts and the bonus material. As with Dave & Dave’s previous sets, this is an outstanding presentation of an unjustly overlooked comedian.

And for me it was a special delight to see almost the entire train sequence from HORSE SHOES. Monty does some of his finest pantomimic acting here - and what a surprise to see him essentially doing what might be considered a “Harry Langdon” bit better than Harry Langdon himself!

The pianissimo use of "O Mio Babbino Caro" under the closing credits was a stroke of genius.

Thank you, Dave - it's another wonderful, thoughtful and hilarious volume. Monty Banks truly deserved this and you more than delivered!
