What's the big deal, it looks great.

AI restoration software has been around for quite awhile, and when used correctly, it works very well indeed. We utilized it on the new Charley Chase 27 set and it's astounding the quality we got out of it.

I'm not prone to hyperbole, but I think this looks the best of any versions I've seen. It even has more pie fight footage, if I'm not mistaken, and that entire sequence looks pristine. The only iffy part was some outlining I think I saw during the fight sequence (when the actors were standing in front of the black background). Its certainly a better use if AI than creating something from scratch.

This use of A.I. is all the more remarkable considering the creator's comment: all of the footage cobbled together comes from different versions of THE BATTLE OF THE CENTURY that was found on YouTube.

No Blu-ray, DVD or film was sourced, just YouTube. If low-res can be upgraded with A.I. to show clarity and detail like this, and apparently it can, then I'm all for it.
