Just received a kind note from Harold Aherne with the following additional info:

Dorothy Janis: born 1910. MGM starlet in the late 20s, appeared in The Pagan with Ramon Novarro. Later married Wayne King.

Barbara Kent: born 1906. Appeared in some major silents and early talkies like Lonesome and Feet First; reportedly does not want to discuss her career. I'm not 100% sure whether she's still alive, given her secrecy.

Beverly Roberts: born 1914. WB starlet of the mid-30s, most famous for God’s Country and the Woman.

Marsha Hunt: born 1917. Reliable actress at Paramount and MGM from the 30s-50s.

Jean Darling: born 1922. Our Gang member in the late 20s.

Bea Wain: born 1917. Band singer with Gene Kardos and Larry Clinton and eventually a solo artist; very popular in the 1937-41 period and well-respected among jazz connoisseurs.

Greta Woodson: born 1905 or 1906; made records for Victor in the late 20s.

Miriam Seegar: born 1907, ingenue in the late silent and early talkie period.

Lupita Tovar: born 1911. Appeared in the Spanish-language Dracula in 1931 and other Spanish-language features of the 30s, besides playing many other Hispanic roles in the 20s and 30s. She appeared on NPR in February 2008.

Danielle Darrieux: born 1917. French actress who made her first film in 1931 and her most recent in 2007.

Many thanks, Harold!

Also Audrey Totter, who will be 91 in December. I know since she's a relative of a friend of mine who visited her at the Motion Picture Country home last year.
