I would appreciate any identification of folks in these photos that you can make. I know Syd of course, also Al Garcia, Hank Mann and Chuck Reisner. Anyone else you recognize? Thanks very much.

Hi Lisa
In the first photo from A SUBMARINE PIRATE the fellow on the left holding the torpedo is Billy Gilbert (not the sneezing sound Billy Gilbert - but the Mack Sennett one).

In the the fourth photo with everyone sitting on the stairs, the man all the way on the right holding his hat looks a bit like Owen Moore - is this from HER TEMPORARY HUSBAND ('23)?

Steve,

It's from King, Queen, Joker (1921). Thanks! Lisa

The other sailors in A Submarine Pirate may have been actual U.S. Navy submariners since it was filmed on location at the San Diego (or San Pedro) Navy yard.

Al Hill is to the right of Billy Gilbert in the shot from A SUBMARINE PIRATE. I'm pretty positive this interior would have been shot in a Keystone stage, not on location.

In the shot of Syd with two cameramen, the one on the left is Hans F. Koenekamp.

Actually, now that you mention it Lisa, you may be correct. Totheroh and Koenekamp look a bit alike, and I guess Rollie may be more likely to be working with Syd at that juncture (not sure exactly when this is, but looks like 20's).
