I recently received the following snapshot along with a lot of vintage Keystone materials:
An unusual group with an even more unlikely theme. Anyone possess the whys and wherefores?

It's an old Life magazine photo shoot from the early 60's.

I still prefer Captain Kirk.
Any names on the participants?
Someone ask John Bengston if he knows where this was shot.

Joan Collins would have made an excellent vamp.

Is that Rock Hudson to Kim Novak's right?

Re: Keystone - The Next Generation
Rock Hudson is not mentioned in the caption. If you mean the grinning guy standing on one foot with his hand above his eyes he's ID'd as Buddy Ebsen, and the body language certainly fits. I think if Ebsen had been born a generation earlier he'd have done quite well as an eccentric slapstick comedian in the Slim Summerville mode.
Re: Keystone - The Next Generation
No, I mean the guy dressed as a bathing beauty. Only eight women are named, but there are nine lying on the ground, and the one in the middle looks the spitting image of Rock Hudson.

It does look like Hudson -unless it was Buddy Messinger trying to make a comeback.

The forgotten sequel: Edgar Pomeroy Meets The Keystone Cops!
I'm still wondering why the magazine would chose a Keystone theme...

Photo was taken in '58.
Hmmm....that fellow Youngson was making films
about that era around the same time.
