Grapevine's bonus short for their dvd of Guardians of the Wild(1928) is this mystery two-reeler, listed on silentera.com w/o the hyphen. Grapevine's facebook page is requesting help i.d.'ing it.

A SCOUTING WE WILL GO is a Chic Sale Comedy from the early 1920's. It's from a very obscure series that he did independently, possibly by a company called Exceptional Pictures.. I've had a print of this for years which had been mislabeled in retitling as a Winkler Regular Kids Comedy.

Try googling "Chic Sale." Lots of fashion boutiques. Video Yesteryear released the full feature length version (5 reels?) at the "correct projection speed" - 73 minutes - on VHS as The New School Teacher (googling that gets you a lot of porn sites}.

Doris Kenyon is credited a couple places, tho' not on imdb, as the leading lady. She's good and it kind of looks like her.
C.C. Burr Productions credited on imdb. La Cava and Kenyon and one of the kids have other Burr credits. SilentEra.com has completely different info:

Pulled the print and watched the thing again, for the first time in probably 20 plus years, and yep, it's THE NEW SCHOOL TEACHER allright. The AFI 20's catalog messed up the credits, its not Doris Kenyon, it's Shirley Mason, and they got the character names wrong, probably why I didn't nail it at the time, but Silent Era has also screwed it up, it is a CC Burr East Coast production from 1924. But you can see MIckey Bennett, who is not the kid rescued from the burning schoolhouse as the AFI Catalog indicates, that's Russell Griffin, but Bennett is one of the kids in the Boy Scout Group.

Never Seen the feature version, I find Chic Sale funny as a crutch, but glad to hear it exists, hopefuly in a non accu-even slower than Shepard - speed version.
