William H. Cook

Postby Joe Moore » Sun Nov 04, 2012 8:38 pm

I'm trying to help out some of my buddies on a comic book forum. They are tracking down info on William H. Cook who was a figure in the development of the comic book industry in the 1930s and early 1940s.

He seems to have worked as a publicist and writer for the film industry in the 1920s. The only film credits we have for him so far are as a writer for the "Fistical Comedies" (Look Out Below, Punches and Perfume, The Fighting Fool, Try and Do It) from the Bray Studio in 1926-27. The series was primarily directed by Albert Herman and starred Lewis Sargent and Wanda Wiley.

Any additional info on the series or other credits for Cook would be welcome.

Thanks
