Just watched KNOW THY WIFE (Christie 1918) with Earl Rodney and Dorothy Devore. He's not credited in the short (or on IMBD), but I'm pretty sure Roscoe Karns plays Earl Rodney's friend Steve.

Yep, it's Roscoe, he's in a number of late 1918-19 Christie shorts, in which he's only being discovered in now as they pop up and become available.. I have had a print of KNOW THY WIFE for years (Blackhawk put it out), and we spotted him back when we got it.
Karns was also apparently in Romaine Fielding's Lubin Company when they were in Tucson, Arizona in 1914-15, but he wasn't in the only one of those films I've seen.

Karns also appeared in a number of early 20s Century Comedies.
