Raggedy Rose was the first film in a short series that all hoped would revive Mabel Normand's career. Didn't work out that way though.

Shot between mid-March-mid-April, 1926 under the working title of Comrades in Arms it was officially released as a special three reeler on November 7, 1926. The studio had cut and tested it at various lengths from two reels up til feature length. The common surviving version here runs about five reels.
Although this youtube version isn't from a terribly good print here's some frame grabs that Marilyn Slater posted at her Looking for Mabel Normand website which were taken from the original film negative at the LoC which show how good the film can look.

It was in truth the brilliant George Willeman that we all have to thank for locating the fantastic original camera negative of Raggedy Rose…. 5 reels! What a wonderful find just setting around at the Library of Congress!
