I don't know if this is considered off topic or not, but I just heard from Joe, who says that the Academy staff was notified a few minutes ago that Robert Cushman, the curator of Photographic Services, died earlier today after a long illness. I know that some of you may have worked with him at one time or another and might want to know.

Patty... I am so sorry to hear this.
I was only recently meaning to drop Robert a letter and your post caught my eye.
He was such a friendly fellow via email, and we traded dozens of stills with each other.
Next to eBay, he was the largest source for my Ben Turpin collection.

Sad to hear this. My condolences to Mr. Cushman's family.A surprise and shock. I knew him for about ten years, and did a lot of trade in stills with him. Goodbye, Robert!
