Here's a link to an excellent piece of research by Michael G. Ankerich on the L-Ko Comedy players Dan Russell and Marjorie Ray (a.k.a. Mrs. Dan Russell). One extra bit of info that Michael passed on to me but didn't include in the piece is that Dan Russell died in March of 1925 after an operation for ulcers:
