Well, courtesy of You actually Joe, as Ben didn't bother to post it here. I saw it last night over at Nitratevile where someone was actually on the ball enough to point out that it was run at Slapsticon in 2007. Ben and Steve may like to think they discovered Musty Suffer all by their widdle ownsomes, but we were running them regularly at Slapsticon, where most of the Mafia got their first look at them. I'd been a Musty Suffer fan since 1982 when PBS ran several of them, including MUSTY'S VACATION and GOING UP, as filler at the ends of their presentation of FLICKERS with Bob Hoskins.

Wow, Birchard must be hittin' the sauce today:

No one was claiming any proprietary rights to "discovering" Musty Suffer, kinda the whole point of the comment, just a friendly kid at Ben and Steve that one doubts bothered them at all.

However, we will he happy to award proprietary rights to Birchard for being a first-class jackass.

You're not allowed to kid with social media. Don't you realized that by now?

Especially when we don't use those smiley faces.

I was going to mention those 'fuckin' smiling faces' but thought better of it because it would cause me to get vulgar.

And now Ben Model has said on Nitratevile that he gives Slapsticon credit for being the first place he saw the Musty Suffers. Bravo Ben, and thank you, I was indeed not making any malicious swipe at either you or Steve, and would apologize to you both if you felt I did. I consider you both friends and support the fine work that you do.

Ben and I are doing our "widdle ownsome" DVD routine again - this time co-opting Marcel Perez. Ten films - five made in Italy and five from America - make up THE MARCEL PEREZ COLLECTION. The DVD and companion book by yours truly will be out soon.

And your widdle ownsomes actually can take credit for Marcel Perez, he was pretty much a forgotten commodity before you got the word out. We look forward to it.
