Always nice to get any chunk of Benchley.

One of my favorite modern day stand-up comics is Brian Regan. He has always been popular but not "Seinfeld' popular - he has more of a steady, cult-type of following. So no movies or TV for Brian. And that's too bad that filmmakers do not take a page from classic Hollywood by loading up their 'entertainment' films with 'entertainers'. Cast professional comics with extended scenes so they can walk on, do one of their bits, steal some of the thunder away from the star and then get off stage. Benchley made a living doing just this, and films were all the better for it.
