THE DEPUTY DRUMMER (1935) Lupino Lane

Postby Richard M Roberts » Thu Dec 21, 2017 4:44 am

Here's another Christmas present, one of Lupino Lane's British sound features that he independently produced and directed, released September, 1935, and featuring Lupino Lane with Jean Denis, Katherine Kelly, brother Wallace Lupino, and Syd Crossley:

Around the 37.44 mark, Lane does his famous stair-fall which he used to do nightly on stage in TWENTY TO ONE, the prequel to ME AND MY GIRL that alas, never got a film version. Enjoy!
