Jeez, I'm tired of folk asking "Is this legit?", yeah, it's legit:

Excellent!

Is the "legit" confusion over the font used on the packaging? Or the lack of a back cover image being displayed on Amazon? My guess is the later.

P.S. Loved the Chase set! All the material was new to me, but having become a Todd fan over the past few years I picked it up. Sure glad I did.

Here's my 5 Star "review" on/from Amazon

A must have for Thelma Todd and Classic film Comedy Fans

Nearly all of these are truly amazing transfers of what I'd guess(?) are rare films.

I became a serious Thelma Todd fan over the past few years, never had much exposure to Chase. This set changed that, some seriously funny stuff here.

Yes I'm a HD whiner :) so I wish this had been issued on Blu-ray, if only to see early Thelma as close to lifelike as possible in HD. If ever released in HIRES [physical or non physical media] they have at least one pre-order customer in me!

If you are a Thelma Todd or Charley Chase or Classic Film Comedy Fan grab this set before it goes out of print and commands high coin from marketplace sellers.

I've been waiting a week for Amazon to post my review - whether or not they get around to it, I'm sharing it here with The Mafioso. Note that the review is directed towards the uninitiated - this is a great set and I'm sure everyone who's a member here wants it and already ordered it - or are about to do so. I uploaded the photo below to Amazon because rumor has it that "sex sells."

Thelma Todd at her best! The perfect holiday gift for anyone who enjoys classic comedy

"She was such a beautiful girl and such a sweet girl," Bert Wheeler (of Wheeler & Woolsey) reminisced about Thelma Todd. "She loved to laugh and would do anything...that was her life, doing comedy." Anyone who has ever seen Thelma Todd in her appearances opposite The Marx Brothers, Laurel & Hardy, Buster Keaton or Wheeler & Woolsey will never forget her. Now, all comedy fans can get this fabulous collection of the Hal Roach series starring the lovely and delightful Thelma Todd and her scatterbrain partner, Zasu Pitts. These shorts give Thelma full range to display her wonderful comedy talent in films that inexplicably were unseen for over 50 years. I say "inexplicable" because I found each of these films to be wonderfully funny, sharing much in common with the other Hal Roach series from the time (Laurel & Hardy, Our Gang, Charley Chase). Thanks to these beautiful restorations we can rediscover Thelma and Zasu at their best. My personal favorites on this set: LET'S DO THINGS, CATCH-AS-CATCH-CAN, ON THE LOOSE, SHOW BUSINESS and THE BARGAIN OF THE CENTURY, but all the films have their charms. An added bonus are commentary tracks by some of the finest comedy film historians around: Robert Farr, Richard Roberts, Randy Skretvedt, and Brent Walker. Each of these gentlemen are superb at what they do, sharing insights and fascinating backstories about the players and the films. If you're a comedy fan, I say buy it! And if you're looking for a gift for a friend, this is it!
