"Broadway" comic strips: Shemp Howard & various Stooges

Postby Ed Watz » Wed Mar 25, 2020 10:38 am

In the first panel Shemp and Ted Healy perform a joke that would become a staple in later Stooge routines. Shemp also performs it in his Vitaphone short CORN ON THE COP (1934).

The third panel was reproduced in one of the Three Stooges books. This led to some fans believing that Ted and The Boys had their own daily comic strip, which we know wasn't the case.
